Does Scholastic F.I.R.S.T. require an internet connection?

Yes. In order to access the program, a steady Internet connection is required.

Scholastic F.I.R.S.T., an Ooka Island Adventure, is an adaptive program and is always analyzing your child's progress by sending and receiving data in real-time, over an Internet connection, in order to personalize their learning path and achieve successful reading outcomes. For this reason, Ooka Island requires a steady high-speed Internet connection. For iOS and Android devices, a connection speed of 5mbs or higher is recommended.
